Description
Ca la Núria is a typical three-floored village house. Just by crossing the entrance door, on the first floor, we find a small place where firewood is kept and a small room where one can store one's bicycle or whatever. Up the stairway, when we get to the second floor, we stand facing a hall that has been turned into a dining-room-kitchen. It is dominated by a wide chimney. Right of the stairs is a small living room with a balcony opening out on Montclar's main street or calle Mayor.
We get to the third floor by a short staircase. On the right is a lounge (it may be used as an extra bedroom by folding out the double sofa bed), and on the left a very large double room. Halfway between the lounge and the bedroom is the bathroom, as well as a small storing room for the washing machine and the hot water tank. And from this area we can go up a flight of stairs into the terrace, situated on top of the roof and affording a view of the surroundings. It is an ideal place to have dinner in the utmost privacy, or reading, or listening to music,…
Note:
Montclar is peaceful and quiet, sunk in one of Catalonia's most important regions in terms of nature and history. Its cultural heritage is overwhelming, scores of historic monuments are still on foot. What stands out the most is the presence of more than twenty Romanic churches scattered around the outskirts of the village, as well as the natural surroundings, which are ideal for trekking, nature-watching, and adventure sports.
